ABOUT ME
Hello there! I started face painting over a decade ago I was taught by my former boss. I always say I was taught by the best, whom was taught by the very best in the industry. My former boss was trained in the art of face painting by the very make up artists who did the make up for Broadway musicals such as CATS! Imagine that! Someone from our province of Saskatchewan trained by professional make up artists from New York City!
After a long break from the face painting world on a professinal basis (I had ventured into the social work field but facepainting always remained a fun and theraputic outlet for me!), my mischief-making muse got my creative juices flowing again. Thus, Bonkers Face Painting was born!
I only use professional, FDA approved water based, hypoallergenic, non-toxic face paints. The face paint is easily removed with soap and water. I also only FDA approved cosmetic glitters (craft glitter, no matter how fine, is not cosmetic glitter and it is not regulated, therefore should not be used on the face).
I will not paint anyone under three years old. Nor will I paint on any of the following: sunburned skin, rashes, open sores/wounds, dermatitis, cold sores etc. I would be happy to paint on an arm or back of a hand or some other such area to accomodate the customer.
